If you’ve been smoking a while, perhaps you’ve struggled with your tolerance getting too high. The problem starts when it takes more and more cannabis to achieve the same effects. Especially for medical users, the decreasing effectiveness of their medication poses a significant and potentially expensive problem.

The Classic T-Break
A T-Break or Tolerance Break provides the most common way for a person to reduce their tolerance. Taking a T-Break works as the tried and true method for reducing tolerance. If you stop consuming, you will reset your tolerance depending on how long you abstain.
Of course, no one enjoys a tolerance break. Certainly, for people who depend upon the medical properties, tolerance breaks essentially involve trading off between suffering from symptoms now or suffering later. No one really questions if a tolerance break works, but actually following through with one is another story.
Cannabinoid Cycling
You’ve probably heard of THC and CBD. These are two of the many active cannabinoids in the Cannabis sativa plant. Without writing a novel about what they do, THC provides the psychoactive experience while CBD causes many of the bodily sensations.
Most people have no clue about the extensive and complicated relationship between CBD and THC. To put it simply, THC and CBD interact heavily with each other. In chemistry-speak, they are chemical antagonists. If you have a friend that dabs, definitely ask them if they bring CBD along in case they go too hard. They either do or should.
What Does This Mean?
The relationship between THC and CBD goes further. It is thought that you can consume CBD to reduce THC tolerance and THC to reduce your CBD tolerance. A single study in 1993 found that even a single dose of CBD can increase the endocannabinoid receptors by 15% to 19%.

Medical patients should consult their doctors of course before switching medications and we’re certainly not doctors so do your own research.
TLDR
Take a tolerance break or try cannabinoid cycling, switching between CBD and THC. More CBD reduces THC tolerance and more THC reduces CBD tolerance.
Hello my 5 year old son has a brain tumour. We have been controlling it with thc for two and half years. We have recommended a thc break of 7 days. Can I give him CBD during this time? And is 7 days necessary or do you think I can reset his tolerance in 4 days. I am a bit nervous about stopping it.

I used to smoke a lot of bud before it was legal here… Best I’ve ever had. Bigbud, train wreck mostly. I’d assume thc, but who knows. It is a high I’ll forever be chasing. My friend (and boss), the one who had connections for the reefer, has sadly died in an accident; life insurance already paid out so I feel safe in saying he also had a meth problem.. And crack when available, but that’s why Siva has so many hands. Long story short, for the moderator who is probably the only one reading, I dont feel safe doing extract bumps, knife hits…etc. And until hash and keif is ‘morraccan’ style I won’t be buying bubble hash. Nor do I agree with co2 extraction, or abbreviated ‘distilling’ methods. If I wanted to go blind I would simply drink the ethenol. I imbibe bhanga of the cbc variety, I am not consumed by, nor a consumer of ‘DRUGS’. often with charoli nut (almondette); the production of which necessitates a mortar/pestle. I also make ghee infusion (ghritam) in copper pot over low heat. 20% thc simply makes me wet the bed, and that’s no fun. Also, eff this delta 8 nonsense, and the lab techs getting paid for spectrum analysis. Hey dabbers, you won’t know what you’re smoking until it’s too late, ya dig. As for the shortlived prohibition era, its a slow burn, and with 1/2 a million years left in kali yuga, I believe that’s more than enough time for misguided public policy and ‘middle class’ (rich) affluent (white) america to realize reparations won’t be accepted, ever, forever ever.
